El término “reuma” se refiere a enfermedades que se manifiestan, generalmente, por inflamaciones dolorosas en las articulaciones o por dolores en los músculos. Este término se usa como sinónimo de reumatismo.
Sus dimensiones pueden ser milimétricas, desde las conocidas popularmente como “arenillas” hasta alcanzar varios centímetros. Suelen mostrar un color marrón o amarillento, de contornos más o menos lisos y regulares, o también ser irregulares. Puede existir uno o varios cálculos renales al mismo tiempo.
Se trata de una contracción muscular prolongada, que afecta a los músculos del cuello, lo cual genera dolor y provoca que la cabeza se volee o rote hacia un lado.
