Evita el alcohol para evitar la deshidratación: Limita la ingesta de bebidas con contenido alcohólico porque el alcohol tiene un efecto deshidratante. La cerveza puedes tomarla sin alcohol, y rebajar la sangría y el ͚tinto de verano͛ añadiéndoles bastante hielo. En cualquier caso, no sustituyas el agua, los zumos y los refrescos por este tipo de bebidas aunque te atraiga más su sabor.
La deshidratación ocurre cuando usas o pierdes más líquido del que ingieres, y tu cuerpo no tiene suficiente agua y otros fluidos para llevar a cabo sus funciones normales. Si no repones los fluidos que perdiste, te deshidratarás.
