La lordosis es un trastorno en el cual la columna, en la parte baja de la espalda, tiene una curvatura excesiva. La columna se curva naturalmente en el cuello y en las partes superior e inferior de la espalda para absorber choques y soportar el peso de la cabeza. La lordosis se produce cuando el arco natural de la parte baja de la espalda, o región lumbar, se curva más de lo normal.
